Miles from nowhere is all about a passion for winemaking. This passion drove us to want to make our own wine. So one by one we gathered precious little pockets of exceptional land and vineyards, scattered across the Margaret River region of Western Australia and based our winemaking on a property in Cowaramup.

There can be many distractions to the winemaking and even wine appreciation process, so in our winemaking, we love the idea of our passionately crafted wine bringing some of the “terroir”, the relaxed time and space, and the “palate” of the region into the wine glass.

Our name also alludes to a desire to forget about always rushing forward seeking to do too much, and instead, to ‘turn the GPS off for a second’ and get back down to earth with something as simple as a great red on the porch with a friend.

To fully appreciate our being, our footprint and our location, it is vitally important to know where we are in the world and how unique the Margaret River region is.

The greatest discoveries are often made by getting off the beaten track and being happy to just ‘get lost’ for a while. We wouldn’t have it any other way and are very proud to be just what we are; Miles from nowhere.
